Happy Tuesday Cult lovers!
FBLMNDS here with another Tuesday D.I.Y!
Anyone who knows me might say I can be a bit of a tomboy BUT I do like to rock the jewelry.
This past weekend I was feeling sassy and wanted to something to add to my ensemble but was not in the mood for a "pretty necklace". I decided to put together a mixed chain body piece and it was so simple and fun!
It took no time at all and I was so pleased with the rockin' results!
Give it a try and I'm sure you will be too!

Things you'll need are:

Some mixed chains (I like to take apart old necklaces I never wear)
Your trusty pliers
Measuring tape

*Note: I created this piece using my old dress form. You DO NOT need one to do this project! Just use your own body or someone else's!!! *

Step 1: Measure on the form or yourself about how long you want the sides to be. You'll end up making a "loop" of chain to your desired size.

Step 2: After making 2 "loops" of chain you'll need to eye out how many inches you want the links of chain to be that will be string across the center.

Step 3: Use your handy dandy pliers to link mixed chains across the center to hold the piece together
*not pictured: put at least one strand of chain linked across the back to make it a complete "vest". Without this back chain your body piece will easily fall off!*

It was SO HOT last weekend in LA and I had so much fun in the sun wearing this bad boy!
I'm positive that I'll be getting a lot of wear out of this badass body piece and if you make one you will too!
Feel free to add MORE chains...charms....feathers...THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!

Until next week...FBLMNDS will continue to drink the koolaid and more D.I.Y's coming your way soon!
